Bill Holloway

Some of my earliest memories involve climbing up in the old barn behind our house and drawing a turn table on a piece of wood so I could play “radio.” I’ve always loved music and knew I wanted to grow up and be on the radio. When I graduated high school, I couldn’t wait to attend broadcast school and get my first job at a local station in Athens, Georgia.

I spent 5 years on the air at WAGQ, Q 105, where I had the opportunity to work with some incredible radio professionals and had the pleasure of helping to “fire up the bulldogs” before UGA football Saturdays every fall.

In 1984, I moved to north Georgia and spent a few years in Chattanooga playing country, rock and adult contemporary music, but I found a radio home in Dalton at WBLJ where I worked for 11 years.

Thinking I needed a change of pace, I spent the next 20 years serving the citizens in the local area when I took a position with Whitfield County government.

But as they say, radio never really gets out of your blood. Now I’m excited to be back on the air.

Life has come full circle and I couldn’t be happier!

I love hearing from former listeners and those who have just started tuning in. Get in touch and request your favorite song by emailing me at
